Weekend Coffee Share: Long Days at the Strawberry Patch (& More!)

If we were having coffee, we would be meeting in the strawberry patch for the second week in a row.  The season continues to progress and, given that it’s a family business, we’ve all been working ourselves to the bone.  I haven’t had a day off in over a week!  Most days, our staff is there to help and, if we’re lucky, they stick around to help on Saturday–which is when we get the biggest crowds.  Sundays, though, are up to us.  My brother, dad, and I hit the patch at 7:30 AM to get everything set up and, even after customers started rolling in, it took a couple of hours to actually wake up.

My dad DID manage to sneak away this morning to bring us back coffee and doughnuts.  We’re regulars at the local coffee shop and the barista wrote “Miss Amelia” with a smiley face on my iced mocha, which made my whole morning.

If we were having coffee, I would tell you that I am one step closer to getting my first big-girl job!  I have an interview on Tuesday!  I don’t want to say too much about it, in case things don’t work out, but if all goes well I will be making a BIG and unexpected move in a few weeks.  Stay tuned for more info.

If we were having coffee, you’d know that I’m REALLY excited for the Game of Thrones series finale tonight.  I plan on staying up late to watch it, which I’ll end up regretting come tomorrow morning, but c’est la vie!

If we were having coffee, I would show you my revamped blog menu.  I added a couple of tabs to feature some of my travel writing and posts about growing up.  Definitely take a minute to check out my new Photography page as well–I still have some pictures I’d like to add, but there are some really lovely shots from my adventures over the past year.

Not much has been going on in my world lately, so it’s time to turn things over to you!  Are you enjoying your summer?  What would you share over coffee?
