If we were having coffee, we’d be sitting on my front patio in the beautiful morning sunlight. I’d probably be in my pajamas groggily drinking my morning tea and watching my new kittens scamper around.
Yes, I have new kittens! I got them yesterday from one of my patrons at the library. There are two girls–one calico and one grey–and they are adorable! I already love them so much! They’re to be outdoor kitties. Last night, I got them set up in their new cat house. They’re still adjusting to the new surroundings–they freak out if one of our other cats comes near them. But they’re starting to play and explore in our flower gardens, so it’s only a matter of time for them to be settled. I don’t have names for them yet–any suggestions?
It’s been a weird week at the library. The first half was very busy. I’m starting a Lego Club this summer and we had our first meeting on Tuesday. Four eager builders came and we had a great time! I also had the local princess candidates come do a special story and craft hour. The second half of the week was completely dead. The quiet was relaxing and I was able to get a lot of things done, but it was also really boring.
At home, we are entering another of our busy times. Strawberry season is here and my family’s pick-your-own patch is open for business! We had our first picking on Friday, but are closed for the weekend to let the other fields ripen. My dad has been working from dawn to dusk trying to stay on top of everything. I haven’t been at the patch yet this year–but for the next few weeks, I’ll be working on my days off from the library. It’ll be exhausting working every day, but during this time of the year, all hands are needed on deck.
Tomorrow is Father’s Day! Normally, we go on a day trip or do a fun activity to celebrate my dad. I don’t know what we’re doing this year. We were toying around with going to a Minnesota Twins game, but my dad didn’t seem to keen on going all the way to the cities. We will probably do something fun close to home–family coffee date, hiking, kayaking, taking out the fishing boat, etc. Do you have any traditions for Father’s Day?
I’ve been meaning to do a post about the big road trip I told you about in last week’s coffee share, but the writing juices just haven’t been flowing lately. But I did finish my travel video! I’m very pleased with how it turned out. I’m including it at the end of the post–I hope that you enjoy it!
That’s all I’ve got for today. How has your week been? Any plans for the weekend? What would you share over coffee?

The video is amazing! And I love the song! Really great job! The trail is breathtaking. It reminded me of how beautiful this world truly is.😍 Thanks for sharing!
Looks like you’ll be facing some pretty busy weeks ahead with the library activities and strawberry season. I would love to see how the Lego Club turns out.☺
Thank you! I’m glad that you enjoyed the video! 🙂 I’ll make sure to keep you all posted on how Lego Club works. The first meeting was pretty small, but lots of people seem really interested.
